Join us as we explore the exciting new field of biointerface design that applies sacred geometry and bioarchitecture to the digital world. Nature long ago perfected how to move, share and communicate information and energy. This course applies these principles via sacred geometry to user interface design for web sites, graphic design, touch screen devices and various other interfaces in common use. The aim is to demonstrate how information can be shared more efficiently, creatively and aesthetically by using natural principles.

The following topics will be covered:
Sacred geometry
Bioarchitecture
Biointerface principles
The role of the intuitive and archetypes in interfaces
How energy/information moves through an interface
The role of shape, size, colour, rotation, age and weight in design
The use of biofeedback in user testing
The interface of the future

This course is designed for people both new and familiar with sacred geometry. You do not need to be technically-minded as it is created to be accessible for all.

The course facilitator is Nicholas Kelly (CTO of BioArchitecture, Holistic House Plans and Building Dreams). Nick has been applying sacred geometry to various aspects of his life for the past ten years, from martial arts to interface design. Nick travels the world extensively promoting BioArchitecture and he is currently in the Philippines managing the build of the first BioArchitecture structure in Asia and will be taking a brief pause from that hectic schedule to come and teach in the relaxing and beautiful environs of Sweden.

Nick holds a degree in Computer Science, is a certified Feng Shui practitioner, a FETAC approved trainer and holds various teaching qualifications in tai chi, chi gung, yoga and Kung Fu. He first started yoga and meditation at age 15, Kung Fu followed shortly after and this was the doorway into discovering sacred geometry and how structure and shape is so crucial to life and energy flow. He founded his first software development company at the age of 21. Nick approaches life with a good dose of humour and fun and is not often seen taking things too seriously (if you see him doing so you can give him a punch!). When not involved in BioArchitecture he consults on interface design, applying the principles of Biointerfaces.

About Åre and Östersund

Östersund..

is a beautiful town located almost in the middle of Sweden.

Link to Google maps here.

Östersund, Jämtland's only city, is situated in the eastern shore of lake Storsjön.

It is linked to the island of Frösön and the surrounding mainland by serveral beautiful bridges.

We can offer a breathtaking scenery here, with very relaxing energies and locations where you can visit while you are here. The seasons vary between bright summer nights, sparkling winter evenings or sunny spring days.

The town is very famous because of it's Storsjöodjur, which is a monster in the lake - almost like Nessie in Loch Ness. Many have seen it during the past 400 years and there are lots of excursions and scientists watching the lake from time to time. Even National Geographic have been here in search for our protected monster. Some psychics claim that there are water dragons - and multiple!

It is very easy to get here from Stockholm/Arlanda Airport, and it takes approximately 50 minutes by plane;  if you book your ticket in advance you can get it to a low price of just above 400 skr/40 euro. From the airport in Östersund you can catch a taxi or get in the bus that is connected to every flight; a ticket only cost about 70 skr/7 euro and you are in the centre of the town in less than 15 minutes.

It is easy to travel to Östersund whether you drive a car, travel by train or flying:

    * Malmö 1 020 km

Trains

The train station is situated in the centre of the town and direct train from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Östersund and Trondheim, Norway, operates a daily basis.

Flight

Åre Östersund Airport offers daily flights to major cities in Sweden. Airport transfers are offered by Airbus transfers in Östersund and the local taxi company. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the airport by bus from the centre of the town.

The county of Jämtland..

where both Östersund and Åre can be found, is a county known for it's nature, scenery and wonderful fishing opportunities. You also have several alps here, that are famous skiing resorts for the rest of Scandinavia, here people often hike during the summer. The healthy and natural food here is also something we are very proud of.
